I cannot recommend her enough. Maggie worked with us in summer of 2020, during the height of covid. I had a 9 month and a 3 year old in a cramped house, and we were desperate to find something great in a town with no inventory. Because our kids couldn’t be vaccinated yet, we needed someone on the ground. That person was Maggie. When we were outbid on a house, Maggie knocked door to door in the neighborhood in the August heat seeing if anyone would be interested in selling. When we found our dream house it was for rent rather than for sale. I asked if Maggie and her colleague knew about the house, they responded that Maggie had already emailed them thinking we might like the house! Because she already had her foot in the door, she and her colleague persuaded the sellers to make the house for sale rather than rent, and we were THRILLED when our offer was accepted. We were living away from Los Angeles when our offer was accepted, and Maggie was there for every inspection. She also went to the house multiple times, measuring, facetiming and taking videos of our future home for us. She met contractors onsite, going completely the extra mile for us so that we could keep our young family safe during covid. Then it was time for us to sell our house. A very well lived-in, tiny house. We trusted Maggie’s eye on what would sell implicitly. She chose the faucet, the color of the kitchen counters, the light fixtures—everything to make the house saleable. She worked closely with the contractor and the stager they hired to make sure that the turnaround was quick so that we could sell at the top of the market, sending us updates daily. The transformation was remarkable—the house looked twice as big and was exactly what buyers were looking for. Maggie showed the house endlessly, and after being on the market for a week, the house sold for nearly $250,000 over ask. After the house closed, and I was having drinks with the new owner, he told us how Maggie had ALSO held his hand for his whole buying process. It was his first house purchase. He told me how Maggie calmed him down as he was waiting for us to respond to his offer and then when his mortgage was approved. All in all, Maggie is the best. She may have left Los Angeles, but I truly view her as a friend and as one of the most competent people I have ever met. Wherever she goes, and whomever she meets, she leaves a trail of smiles and jobs well done behind her.
I am a first time homebuyer and was nervous about starting the process of looking for a home, but once I met Maggie she helped answer any and all questions, and never once pressured me into just buying to buy. We started looking at homes casually, I have a very busy schedule so she often toured homes and reported back to me on if she felt it was worth me coming to see or not. She spent countless hours advising me, sharing her expertise, and ensuring that I felt supported every step of the way. I fell in LOVE with the home I purchased and was up against 2 other offers (one was all Cash..) and Maggie was able to negotiate and get me into the house of my dreams. In addition, Maggie's proactiveness is unparalleled, she would do things before I was even thinking of doing them. For example, after my home inspection, it was discovered that the home I wanted needed some work, within hours of receiving my my home inspection document from the inspector, Maggie had two contractors lined up to give estimates of the work and was already in negotiations with the seller!! I can't sing Maggie's praises enough, I am in my home because of her!
Maggie was a pleasure to work with. She was very knowledgeable about the Washington neighborhoods we were looking in. She has been helpful with additional resources and provided us with all the utilities and phone numbers to transfer service. She is always quick to respond and no question goes unanswered, if she doesn't know something she finds it out. Without Maggie, we wouldn't have been able to find and purchase our forever dream home. I would highly recommend Maggie to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
